Heart ailments
Heart diseases can be categorised into 3 categories - congenital heart disease, coronary artery disease, rheumatic heart disease.
- Rheumatic Heart Disease - involves the weakening of the heart due to the inflammation of it's inner lining or failure of a heartvalve to close, thus causing blood to leak.The symptoms of this are shortness of breath, palpitations, and irregular heartbeat.
- Coronary Heart Disease - is the damage to the heart caused by
narrowing of arteries that supply blood to the heart muscle.When the heart muscle does not recieve oxygen, it becomes infracted . When this happens, a Heart Attack occurs.
